Inspired by the hustle and bustle of Shanghai's food markets and street stalls, MACH  created a prototype street food restaurant in London where the kitchen is not only visible, but is also the central element of the customer experience. Colorful Shanghai-style neon signs signal the 'grab and go' atmosphere at NOW instead of the classy interior features such as naturally aged wood and onyx glass used in the dignified Ping Pong restaurants. Despite the clear differences from the Ping Pong umbrella brand, the design ensures that the spirit, warmth and class of the original has been retained in this take-away business.
